Central Florida in January

Somewhere along the path of my life it became my habit to look for beautiful sights and views everywhere I go. Or maybe I was simply born that way because there are a lot of vivid images in my mind that I set my eyes on in my early childhood.

To me it seems like every place I visit has so much to offer and it makes me extra happy when I have my camera handy and I can snap some pictures. Not as a professional photographer – or an artist. Just for my own enjoyment.

These days, in January of 2012, Central Florida looks beautiful and the weather is perfect. Every day I get to admire pretty trees all over the place. I wish I knew what they were called. This year the birds haven’t helped themselves to their red berries yet. I’m guessing it hasn’t been cold enough.

Around here, deciduous trees drop their leaves some time in January. For the very first time I discovered some really nicely fall-colored leaves on a turkey oak outside my house. I had to take several pictures to document that!

Oh, and since Florida has so much coast, it’s practically impossible to ignore the boats – and their names… :)
