Florida Christmas tree

Erik and I went to Tarpon Springs yesterday. While walking around the Sponge Docks little shops, I discovered this Florida-style Christmas tree, decorated with shells and sponges and other beach findings and souvenirs. I liked it very much so I’m sharing it here with you. Maybe the photo below gives you an idea to decorate your Christmas tree differently this coming holiday season… :)

Very creative way to design a christmas tree. :) This was my first time to see a shell-decorated christmas tree btw. Kind of early for yuletide season. ;p

  3. It’s rather strange looking, but funnily it actually works, but I don’t think I’ll be decorating my tree like that this year ;)

And it doesn’t even look bad. :) Still, I think I prefer the traditional decorations because…they’re more Christmas-y. But really, this tree is a great attraction for passersby and a commercial for the store.
