Gemini Springs Park, Debary, Florida

At the end of February Erik and I visited Gemini Springs Park in Debary, Central Florida. I like parks and visited many but this is probably the most beautiful park I’ve seen in the State of Florida so far.

We’ve been to quite a few places that weekend so I forgot all about this visit and all the photos I took there – until today. Browsing through all the pictures of Gemini Springs Park in Volusia County – I realized that I can easily make a photo story about that trip. It was pretty adventurous, to say the least. But I’ll let (mostly) my photos speak for me this time… :)

By some unexpected coincidence – another visitor’s kindness – we got to see one of the springs and it looked simply beautiful!

Gemini Springs is also a place where the Florida alligators reside – but we didn’t have a chance to make an acquaintance to one that day…

I hope you enjoyed this photo tour with me – around the Gemini Springs Park – as much as I did, despite the close encounter with the snake…

Looks great. The Black Bird and also under the Beautiful Bird (Blue Heron) is I think an Anhinga. I thought these were Cormorants until someone corrected me, we had those in Deerfield Beach where I used to live.

I have some pictures of these on my Squidoo lens http://www.squidoo.com/deer-creek-walk
