For most people Christmas season is also a synonym for winter wonderland – but not in Florida. This time of the year when most of the country is getting covered in snow, we’re having the most beautiful weather and blooming plants, everywhere I look.
A week ago I was at The Villages, where I took this photo of a gorgeous flowerbed:
Then, close-by there was this huge Christmas tree at one of the squares:
I went to the Christmas party and found this stunning poinsettia bush outside in the yard, right next to the tangerine and grapefruit tree:
And all around my home, both cannas are about to start blooming again and just a few hours ago I took the photos of some breathtaking blooms: mums, bougainvillea, snapdragons and marigolds are looking their best.

Clover, snapdragons and yellow marigolds make a nice flowerpot arrangement, even at Christmas - photo by Daria
… may your days be merry and bright
and may all your Christmases be white…
(if that’s what you wish for)
Have a very merry Christmas!!
