My dream tree house

I think it all started with one of the forwarded emails and some images of unique tree houses from around the world. A tree house is a synonym of care-free, romantic life-style or getaway. A perfect place to dream and daydream, to relax and let my creative thoughts soar, a place that would always make my juices flowing.

And since I like the tree houses so much, I’ve looked at plenty of pictures of the most unique living spaces, built under the canopies of the trees. But this time there came another idea, sparked by the photos I was looking at. I got seriously intrigued and decided to do my own research on what’s available out there.

My thought process was that since I’m not the only not-so handy person out there who would enjoy having a tree house and not building it myself, there must be some companies who would design and build a dream house for me.

I was right. I found quite a few of tree house manufacturers from around the world (thank you, Google!) but somehow none of the projects I was looking at – really inspired me. I more than anything like the things that make me say, wow!

And then I came across the German tree house (baumhaus) manufacturer – Baumraum. (Note that all the images in this post are copyright of Baumraum.)

Organic shapes – curved and smooth with clean lines are something that very much appeals to me when it comes to the living space – so this image above easily grabbed my attention.

I also instantly liked the idea of a terrace on the lower level – to be able to enjoy the outdoors whenever the temperatures are perfect.

As soon as I saw the inside of the Jungle Tree House, I was hooked! I could easily see myself daydreaming about my new writing project inside this beautiful white tree house, hanging off the palm trees – or typing it up once it’s all done in my mind.

And then… is this really a bathtub I see at the foot of the bed??

As far as I’m concerned, a tree house just couldn’t be more perfect – not even in my dream!
