Family Fun Fest

My son’s school had the first Family Fun Fest on Saturday. Erik is involved with quite a few things at Weeki Wachee High School so we went to check it out. There were quite a few booths with all kinds of things to choose from – from food to arts and crafts and yard sale items, to taking a test on different subjects.

I took a picture of the cute Hornets mascot with some cheerleaders (photo below).

Then we went to check out the booth with ceramics, beautifully crafted by Mr. Johnson and some students – and bought the black bowl Erik made in his art class and another one, glazed blue, made by Erik’s art teacher.

Erik’s black bowl was difficult to take a picture of because with the flash it always turned golden.

The blue Mr. Johnson’s bowl was Erik’s favorite and he picked it out from everything that was on display at the booth. Later on, when at home, I realized that this blue bowl is a perfect match to some wall designs that I painted a while ago.

Erik stayed at the Family Fun Fest for the rest of the activities and helped with the cleanup. He had fun and I own two new ceramic bowls that are meaningful for they are the symbols of some new family fun precious memories.

I am working on building a blog like Family Fun Fest | Daria’s World – blog about things that deserve my attention because they make me smile. I still have a a long way to go, and surely don’t yet get the traffic you seem to have. when you can, please give me some comments as I know it really needs a tune up. Nice site, sincerely, Mari Hoffman
