By Daria / February 13, 2012 Share Tweet Pin Share Share That Sunday, February 12, 2012, started with the fifth below freezing morning of the winter in Spring Hill, FL, area and I’m glad I covered most of my eager-to-bloom plants around the house. A pretty bloom makes even the best music more enjoyable still… 🙂 . Frank Moravcik Orchestra at Slovenian-American Club in Spring Hill, FL - Photo: Daria . I knew this was going to be a good dance since Frank Moravcik Orchestra never fails to impress, reservations were coming in and there were some first-time guests coming. However, what was expected to be great, turned out to be spectacular. The band played half hour overtime, two jam sessions with around 15 musicians on the stage rocked the house and we had a special guest appearance. . Oscar from Miami Oscar Knezaurek plays clarinet, saxophone and accordion. He drove five hours and a half from Miami to Spring Hill with his wife Margarita and cousin Tatjana, visiting from Slovenia. Oscar played two tunes with the backup of the band. When he was done, someone came to me saying, “Tell Oscar he is hired!” So I did… 🙂 . . . . Oscar’s cousin Tatjana lives in the same town in Slovenia as my aunt. Tatjana and I got to talk a little yesterday and she said that she would call my aunt Zvonka when she gets back home – to tell her how both Erik and I are doing just fine over here and how we have many good friends that are watching over us. What a nice Slovenka! 🙂 . Jamming at the Spring Hill hall I have to say that the jam sessions at our events are becoming legendary. We always get an outstanding group of musicians, having so much fun it’s impossible to describe. Besides, when you see Marty Raab from Michigan get up when he is playing, it’s very obvious to me he means business! 🙂 . . . . . . Don’t watch this video too closely, my camera got a little bit carried away – but the music is good! 🙂 . .
