Happy holiday season

Since before Thanksgiving  (before this year’s happy holiday season even started) I’ve been caught in a swirl of activities. Most of them were very enjoyable and I – surprisingly – managed to neglect my computer and online tasks for a while.

I traveled, visited many new places and met new people, made new friends, reunited with several old ones and learned more than I ever wanted to know about certain things. That’s the funny part that I did not see coming!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine was different for the second year in a row. Had my Thanksgiving dinner with a family in Ohio that I’ve never met before. It always deeply touches my heart when people who don’t know me that well (or not at all) share their home with me. I can’t help myself but endlessly appreciate all the wonderful people who keep coming into my life…

In the meantime, my son cooked a complete Thanksgiving meal all by himself at our home, using my recipes. Everything turned out great and he was so proud of himself he couldn’t stop bragging about it! 🙂 I don’t think I have to tell you how proud and happy that made me feel!

Just a few days ago my sixteen-years-old did another incredible thing – he built his own computer for the first time. After much research we ordered all the parts. Non-technical as I am – I expected for the putting-together process to take a few days. Lo and behold, he put everything together in a few hours after school – and turned his new, powerful desktop on that same evening. The next day he installed the operating system and all the software and everything worked like a charm. No lagging with even the biggest gaming systems. I’m glad I have an expert in the house!

I could go on and on about many things but that’s enough about me and my life for today. Since this is a happy holiday season and a season of giving, here are some things for you.

First, if you have a few minutes and you feel like giving something back to the community, here’s an easy way to do just that. I put together a page about my dog. All the proceeds from it go to the two charities that benefit animals and people. You don’t have to donate any money (and if you want to, you’re more than welcome to do so). Every visit to the page below will add a few pennies to the cause. So, if you know someone else who might be interested, please recommend them to visit the page You Make Me Happy Whether You Know It Or Not . Click on the link below, it opens a new window:

It looks like I’m not going to do all that much work for SNPJ Lodge 778 any longer. Yet, my interest in promoting and organizing fun events that people enjoy has always been sincere, so I decided to do some things on my own. From now on, you’re all welcome to submit your Upcoming Events to this website and I’ll do my best for lots and lots of people to see it and search your events.

The submission is simple (the simplest I could think of). Squarely follow directions and include all the required information. Your announcement of an upcoming event will be published in a few hours for everyone to see. Check this new addition – which is still a work in progress – here:

And finally – party/dance information. SNPJ Lodge 778 Schedule of Events page has been updated with times and admissions. Please check it out at:

Wishing you all and every one of you the most beautiful holiday season, no matter if you spend these magical days by yourself or with your loved ones. Think of all the great things we’re blessed with each morning and keep smiling. There’s plenty to be happy about – no matter where you are at this point in your life.

Keep coming back to Daria’s World website, bookmark it and recommend it – I’ll be adding new posts during the next few days:

I am impressed, I must say. very seldom do I stumble upon a blog thats both academic and entertaining, and let me tell you, youve hit the nail on the pinnacle. Your post is important; the matter are some things that not many people are speaking intelligently about. i am really happy that I stumbled across this in my rummage around for something concerning it.
