Insomnia or the best part of my day?

Sleep On Computer

Image via Wikipedia

I became really tired very early last night so I went to bed soon after nine. Good three hours later I was fully awake and alert…

At first I didn’t feel like getting up from a warm, comfy bed. For a few minutes I was trying to feel myself back into slumber but I didn’t get any promising results. And since I’ve known for a while that there are plenty more fun things for me to do instead of tossing and turning around in bed, sleepless, I finally got up, drank some water and went to my computer.

Right away I found myself on the dashboard of one of my blogs and than the ideas just flew my way and I followed and by the time I was ready to go to sleep again – I accomplished some great updates on my Slovenian-American Club blog – that I haven’t even thought of for a long time. Rest assured that I fell asleep with a smile on my face…

This morning I’ve been thinking about this middle-of-the-night episode. Is sleeplessness really a problem or could it be the best part of my day/night? It seems to me that it mostly depends on the point of view one chooses to take. If you can (like I did) turn a couple of late night hours when you’re unable to sleep into the most creative, or fun, or both, hours of your day then – yes, I am looking forward to all the sleepless nights for the rest of my life! 🙂

I basically learned about nearly all of this, but with that in mind, I still considered it was useful. Sweet task!
