When I first glanced out the window this morning, I noticed two gorgeous new yellow-and-red blooms (what could possibly be more catchy!) – on my Canna Yellow King Humbert plant.
I ran straight to my desk, grabbed the camera and out the door I was, snapping photos of all the showy June flowers all around my front yard.
Another pond plant that has been a pure delight ever since I planted it is Pontederia Cordata or Pickerel Rush – blooming and growing new buds faster than I’ve been able to count them. I just adore the color of the blooms!
Then, always delightfully cheerful and pleasantly scented Cinco De Mayo roses…
… one of the best perennials I’ve ever grown – Purple Echinacea…
… and last, but not least, thriving Pink Vinca, outperforming every other plant outside and inside my home, in the number of blooms – and how unaffected this plant seems to be by the heat and even drought.
I just couldn’t be happier with all of my outdoor plants this year. Although I decided to try some new plants, they’ve been all simply wonderful so far!
