New beginnings

Lately, certain instances departed my life. Some of them I had a difficult time to accept. Their departure made me angry and sad and upset. Fortunately, I learned a long time ago to look at this kind of life events as new beginnings, new doors of opportunity opening for me. As something even better manifesting into my life as soon as I move on.

Still, it took me some time to let go. In my experience that can only be done in small steps, by looking for something good in every situation. By looking for things I can appreciate – no matter what. By observing things that distract me from mourning and feeling sorry for myself. By surrounding myself with happy people who praise other’s success and are fun to be around. By dancing and singing and doing things I love to do.

New beginnings

I still get sad when certain memories resurface in my mind, certain people annoy me, and when I hear about negative news that upset me. But at least now I know how to change the way I feel and it never takes me too long to get back into my happy mode where only good-feeling thoughts are permitted. It’s  Good to feel good! 🙂

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Look not mournfully into the past. It comes not back again. Wisely improve the present. It is thine. Go forth to meet the shadowy future, without fear, and with a manly heart.

This is my farewell to the past and my welcome to the present moment, enjoyed to the fullest.
