Snow season for some, grass planting for others
As some of you up north have been experiencing the first snow of the season, the weather in Florida has also cooled a bit. We had the first 40′s morning temperature and we’ve been getting some rain which cheered me up above all.
After I’ve been spreading the winter rye seed all around the yard, I just couldn’t keep up with watering to make the seeds sprout. My lawn is big and without the sprinkling system, using two hoses, one on each side of the house, watering has become quite a chore.
And just when I gave up and decided to simply let Mother Nature take its course, it started raining. Now I can’t wait to see that soft, dark green grass all around the house and look forward to enjoy it throughout the winter season…

Looking for jammers
.
There’s one more thing I wanted to remind you about.
.
The Suncoast Dance and Party Center is having these regular jam sessions scheduled for the first time. We plan to make them a lot of fun - with lots of musicians with different instruments playing a lot of good music.
.
If you are thinking about attending one of the jamming events as a musician, please let me know and I’ll add your name to the schedule online.
.
Also, if you are a member of a group that would be interested in participating – playing a few tunes at one of our jam sessions, please contact me.

Hi Daria
Good bless you . You are not only doing a good job keeping us together but you are very interesting , talented writer and jurnalist.
Sory I changed my mind. My cousin Tatjana from Postojna is coming to visit us , so I will pospone my trip to Springhill to February 16 or somhere there.
Yes I play saxophone , accordeon and I can also make a floor show (3 nombers only )with a clarinet but that would not be polkas but jazz providing that the band can back me up . What do you think ????????????
Love you
Oscar
Thank you, Oscar! Too bad you can’t make it for Walter Ostanek. Or – maybe your cousin Tatjana from Slovenia wouldn’t mind coming to Spring Hill also?
I don’t know what to tell you about your jamming and the band backing you up. I am not a musician and don’t know exactly how these things work so you would have to talk to the band members about that. Anyway, hope to see you in this part of Florida soon!
