One perfect butterfly morning

I came back home at nine o’clock this morning – and everything was perfect. Not too hot yet, a gentle breeze, a cheerful breeze with only a few puffy white clouds on the sky. all of my plants still glistening with the morning dew – and bursting with life.

Is it even possible for a day to look any better than that?

And even before I finished the thought above, a few yellow butterflies started fluttering all over the front yard. They are moving around fast and make only very short stops. I didn’t stand a chance to take a picture. And if I did, it would only be a blur, anyway. But they did look like the yellow butterfly below.

Bumble bees were all over the blooming spikes of pickerel rush (Pontederia cordata) and the next thing I had a chance to admire was a perfect orange butterfly. I took several pictures and this closeup below was the best I got.

What a glorious introduction of the new day that was. The words can not even begin to describe how much I enjoyed the show! 🙂
