Say it with flowers

One of my male friends was once explaining to me how difficult it can be for a male to express his feelings, especially when he is very much attracted to a girl – and has the best intentions at heart.

When this conversation took place, I couldn’t come up with a useful idea or even advice. Actually, I can’t even remember what my reply was. But just recently I realized there are many things that can very effectively be said with flowers.

Throughout the history of gifting flowers, different cultures had long and complicated rules, traditions and meanings for all kinds of occasions and messages that the blooms were supposed to convey to the recipient. The modern days royal couples still give a lot of thought into choosing the most meaningful flower arrangement for bride’s bouquet.

But of course, flowers are not for lovers only. Giving flowers can be a powerful way to show appreciation, to say thank you, a thoughtful gift, or a nice surprise for no special reason. Especially when you know that person’s favorites.

Nowadays things are mush simpler and flowers can easily and conveniently get delivered pretty much around the world. In case we know the recipient pretty well, we can just go with their favorite flower
