Painting on rocks has only become widely popular during the last few years and with that - colorful painted rocks. It can be a hobby, occasional fun for kids of all ages - or taken to an artistic level - with many hours invested and countless details added to every single finished piece.
Painted stones are vibrant, uplifting and cheerful and that's why collectors use them for decoration indoors and out. Creative people keep them next to their computers - for inspiration. Those who are very spiritual, use rock paintings for meditation. Still others believe these tiny artworks actually clean/improve the energy of their living space.
Stone painting is an addiction for me - ever since I first gave it a try. My way is to establish an intimate rapport with every rock so I can feel its energy radiating into my hand. Then I blissfully follow its guidance. Some artists choose to fix each stone's flaws - by first smoothing the surface. My way, however, is to work with the pebble's natural imperfections, and include them in my design.
In my eyes, Mother Nature has always been - and always will be - the best artist! Everything created by her is perfect even in its imperfection. That is why I nurture the highest respect for everything natural. These little rock canvases are no exception!
Last but not least, all of my drawings/paintings are done free hand, with materials of the highest quality. On top of that, every painted stone is finished with varnish - to prevent fading and peeling of the color.

Heard of Painted Rocks Craze?
"Have you been so lucky to find any painted rocks hidden in your town?
Have you wondered what the craze is all about? Or maybe you’ve never heard of this creative trend towards kindness yet.
In short, the painted rocks are a creative project that has taken the nation by force, with the number one goal to make someone smile and brighten their day. When some finds a rock, they can be sure it’s been painted with love from anyone ranging from little bitty kiddos to skilled artists, and everyone in-between. Participating is something any one of any age can do, all you have to do is find one! The rocks will usually have a hashtag or Facebook page written on the back. This shows where the rock came from, and often with directions to post a pic to that area’s painted rock Facebook page or hashtag. You can either keep the rock or rehide.
The general rule is that if you find and keep a rock, you create another one to re-hide somewhere else in your community. The idea really is as simple as inspiring someone through a random act of kindness."
